Messe Stuttgart Deepens India Focus with Strategic Cable & Wire Fair Partnership

Messe Stuttgart has announced the addition of Cable & Wire Fair and Wire & Cable India magazine to its growing India portfolio, marking a significant expansion into one of the country’s fastest-growing industrial sectors.

The move strengthens Messe Stuttgart’s position in India’s industrial exhibition ecosystem and reflects the company’s long-term strategy of building globally connected platforms for high-growth manufacturing industries. The German trade fair giant will now work closely with Tulip 3P Media and industry stakeholders to further expand the scale and international reach of the event.

India’s wire and cable industry, currently valued at nearly ₹90,000 crore, is projected to grow to approximately ₹1.57 lakh crore by FY30, driven by rising infrastructure investments, renewable energy expansion, housing demand, and rapid telecom upgrades. Industry experts increasingly view the sector as a critical backbone for modern engineering and manufacturing systems.

Cable & Wire Fair, launched in 2015, has emerged as one of India’s leading platforms for the wire and cable industry, while Wire & Cable India magazine has played a major role in connecting manufacturers, suppliers, and technology providers since 2011. The integration with Messe Stuttgart is expected to significantly enhance international participation and global buyer access for Indian companies.

Speaking on the development, Roland Bleinroth described India as one of the company’s most strategically important global markets and emphasized the growing importance of the wire and cable industry in shaping future infrastructure and manufacturing ecosystems.

Gaurav Sood said the objective is to elevate Cable & Wire Fair through stronger international participation and global exhibition standards while maintaining its deep industry relevance within India’s manufacturing ecosystem.

The 2025 edition of Cable & Wire Fair attracted more than 16,000 visitors and over 420 exhibitors, including participants from 24 countries, highlighting the event’s growing global footprint. The next edition is scheduled to take place in December 2027 at the Yashobhoomi Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The announcement also aligns with broader global supply chain shifts and the ongoing China+1 manufacturing strategy, which has increasingly positioned India as a preferred destination for industrial manufacturing and sourcing. Industry observers believe the partnership could further strengthen India’s standing in the global wire and cable market by improving access to technology, export opportunities, and international business networks.
