The Iran–United States conflict has intensified concerns around supply disruptions, particularly in critical transit routes such as the Strait of Hormuz, through which a substantial portion of global oil and petrochemical shipments flows.
This volatility has had a direct and immediate impact on feedstock costs used in PVC production. Ethylene, a key raw material derived from hydrocarbons, is highly sensitive to changes in crude oil and natural gas prices.
